Nightworkers
As most of us sleep, there are people who work in the small hours providing services that we often take for granted. People who mend our streets, ensure our safety, treat us when we’re sick and keep us entertained.
Nightworkers is a documentary photography project which takes a look at some of these people and puts a face to the ‘invisible’ workers to highlight the work they do and to raise the question of how life would be very different if they didn’t carry out the important jobs they do.
Nightworkers was photographed in 2009 and 2010, mainly in the North West of England.
